gospelguy asked: I was using my CB radio and I was keyed on the low side of a channel and when I keyed I noticed that one channel on my police scanner nearby would start blaring sound that sounded much like a tv show. I searched through my tv and found the exact channnel that was coming across my scanner from a channel out of a town just about 30 miles from me. But the only time this happened was on one particular frequency channel on the police scanner and when I keyed up my cb on the low side band of a certain channel. What can cause this kind of bleed over? I have never heard of something like this happening. i even thought I was gaining bleedover form the tv, so I shut it off and even with the tv off I was still hearing this television program audio over my scanner. How do you explain this?
Frequency was low side of channel 18 ( 26.753 i believe) and the frequency of the police scanner that I wasgetting bleedover from was 159.015. And these 2 antennas are right next to each other. In fact the beam.s on the scanner antenna are just a few inches from touching the 18 foot vertical cb antenna
